Busan Oryukdo Skywalk
The Oryukdo Skywalk was established in "Seungdumal (Old Place Name)". What used to be called "Seungduma" because it looked like a horse saddle became "Seungdumal", and the haenyeo and local residents called it "Jalokgae".
Construction began on September 12, 2012 and opened on October 18, 2013, at Seungdumal, which is also the border point between East Sea and the South Sea, and was named "Oryukdo Skywalk", meaning "walking in the sky".
The skywalk is a 15-meter-long glass bridge with steel beams installed on top of a 35-meter coastal cliff and 24 glass plates connected in the shape of a horseshoe, and the bottom glass is safely designed with a specially made 55.49 mm thick high-load bulletproof glass with four 12mm glass plates and a bulletproof film.
The sea in front of the skywalk is beautiful and colorful from time to time, making it a photo spot, and it is currently attracting more than 1 million visitors a year.
